Round 10

WHAT is happening down at Fremantle Oval?

South Fremantle looked like certain starters for a place in this year’s finals after winning the first four games of their season after having a bye in Round 1. In Round 6 they had their second bye and have since suffered defeats at the hands of  Subiaco, West Perth, East Perth and Claremont. On last week’s starting line-ups it’s hard to see where the Tigers were at a 10-goal advantage. The Bulldogs meet East Fremantle in the Derby this Monday and positions on the ladder may not mean much.

Guy McKenna wins coach-of-the-week honours after Claremont pushed its way back into fourth position at the expense of South Fremantle.

Subiaco’s season has also changed slightly after successive defeats from West Perth and last year’s premier East Perth. With their season starting well and with a change of coach, the Lions looked to have improved on last year, but they are continually beaten by the genuine sides in the competition. West Perth enjoyed the bye last week and will be keen to turn the scores around after their Round 2 defeat to East Perth.
