Round 8 COWELL AHEAD
HARD working
East Perth
midfielder Brent Cowell has taken the lead in the voting for the Football
Budget’s prestigious Player-of-the-Year Award.
After another
strong performance last week, Cowell has taken the lead from Swan Districts’
Shane Beros by two votes.
The voting system
for this award is the same as last season, with football journalists voting on
a 3-2-1
basis for each game.
The winner of the
award will be deemed the fairest and best player, with any player who has been
suspended by the tribunal during the season ineligible for the award. The
winner will receive a generous prize.
The presentation
of the award will be conducted at an end of season function hosted by Football
Budget publisher Wright Media.
