Round 21 DOWN TO THE WIRE
VOTING for the
Kennards Hire Footballer-of-the-Year Award will go down to the wire.
Last year the
award was tied between Peel’s Darren Bolton and
West Perth’s
Christian Kelly and it is heading in a similar direction this season.
The voting has
gone in camera so we can’t reveal who was awarded top votes last weekend, but
rest assured that performances in the final two games of the season will go a
long way to determining who takes out the prestigious award.
The voting system
for this award is the same as last season, with football journalists voting on
a 3-2-1 basis for each game.
The winner of the
award will be deemed the fairest and best player, with any player who has been
suspended by the tribunal during the season ineligible for the award. The
winner will receive a generous prize.
The presentation
of the award will be conducted at an end of season function hosted by Football
Budget publisher Wright Media.
