Round 18 NORRISH CLIMBS
VETERAN
Claremont
midfielder Jason Norrish was the biggest mover in the voting for the Kennards
Hire Footballer of the Year Award in Round 18.
Norrish was given
best-on-ground honours in his team’s win over Swan Districts and moved up to 10
votes. Leader Brent Cowell is still holding the challengers at bay, with none
of the leading contenders being awarded any votes from last weekend’s action.
The voting system
for this award is the same as last season, with football journalists voting on
a 3-2-1 basis for each game.
The winner of the
award will be deemed the fairest and best player, with any player who has been
suspended by the tribunal during the season ineligible for the award. The
winner will receive a generous prize.
The presentation
of the award will be conducted at an end of season function hosted by Football
Budget publisher Wright Media.
