Brent Cowell is still in the lead to take out top honours for the Football
Budget Footballer of the Year award.
Four votes clear
of Lucas from Subiaco, Cowell has performed consistently well in the voting
this season.
The voting system
for this award is the same as last season, with football journalists voting on
a 3-2-1
basis for each game.
The winner of the
award will be deemed the fairest and best player, with any player who has been
suspended by the tribunal during the season ineligible for the award. The
winner will receive a generous prize.
The presentation
of the award will be conducted at an end of season function hosted by Football
Budget publisher Wright Media.
